I’m Hlayisane Shiluvane, I qualified at the University of Pretoria. I am registered with the HPSCA and affiliated with SASP. I have a special interest in neurology, pain, women’s health and cardio respiratory physiotherapy.

I am a passionate physiotherapist who believes in personalized approaches to maximize the holistic rehabilitation of patients. I am fueled by walking the journey of recovery with patients and helping them achieve functional independence through therapy.

In my spare time, I enjoy painting, hiking and spending time with my loved ones.

I’ve since enjoyed home visits since I started working here. The best thing about this is how I get to treat patients in the comfort of their own homes, with limited obstacles. Integration into the residence and community are a goal we strive for during hospital stay. However we seldom get to see the progress thereof. Home visits grants me the joy of seeing patients progress further after hospitalisation.

“Each individual is unique in his/her own way and so are their circumstances. Therefore, treating one is a like working your way through a maze or a massive jigsaw puzzle. There are various ways in which to achieve the goal set out by the individual as well as the therapist. Everything you say and do helps me make the correct decision when to turn left or right. Adding to the puzzle that allows me to identify the cause and best possible treatment plan for your injury.”
